My husband has taken the kids, starting when there was just one, every year at the crack of dawn to the Tigard Festival of Balloons. It’s this weekend for you locals out there. Go early and see the balloons launch, then get donuts. Healthy I know, but hey it’s tradition!

Update: We ended up deciding to go later in the day this year to see more of the festival and give the boys a chance to go on a ride or two. Boy were we disappointed. I couldn’t believe they didn’t have any balloons during the day, although I see now that it says that on the website. There were a lot of problems that I had with the festival this year and I am not sure if we will be back again. At least the boys enjoyed a couple of rides…
