Well, really it has been a snow week! The schools have been closed all week and a lot of people have stayed home from work as well. It’s cold out there!

Good thing baby girl’s got her new Organic BabyLegs to keep her warm… I have loved using these as layers under her clothes for extra warmth and to keep her legs warmer while changing her diaper. Trying to keep those thermostats lower can make it uncomfortable for those chubby baby legs without her BabyLegs!

We have all been snuggling up reading lots of books, listening to Christmas music, and watching the fun winter holiday movies that we’ve recorded. Snowmen At Christmas is a favorite book of the boys right now. I think one of them is actually sleeping with it right now.

What is soybean fiber?
Soybean protein fiber is a sustainable and botanical textile fiber made from renewable and biodegradable natural resources – the leftover soybean pulp from tofu and soymilk production. It is a green textile fiber that possesses the superiorities if many natural and synthesized fibers.

How does Soybean protein fiber help our environment? 
Babysoy’s clothing line is sustainable and eco-friendly. Soybean fiber is a textile that’s made from recycled material and it does not add any extra burden on the environment.

What types of soybeans, snaps, zips, & whitening agents are used?
Babysoy’s soybean fiber are made with certified non-GMO soy beans. Babysoy uses hydrogen peroxide (a whitening agent that uses oxygen rather than chlorine). Snaps and zippers are made by world-renowned YKK and are nickel-free.

How is soybean protein fiber made
1. Proteins are extracted from the leftover materials of tofu or soymilk production.
2. Protein liquids are forced through a device resembling a showerhead, called a spinneret, to make liquid soy. This is called wet-spinning.
3. Liquid soy is solidified to make soybean protein fiber.

After the protein is extracted from the leftover soybean pulp, it can be used as fertilizer. All substances used in the production of soybean protein fiber are of a harmless nature.
