Today many etsy sellers are having a blog-in to help educate the public about the CPSIA. This legislation will potentially put most of these folks out of business. I think that this legislation has reminded people that we need to pay more attention to the safety of the items we buy for our children. So many of the crafters on etsy however are already buying safe materials to use in their creations, but now that is not good enough. This is why I have become a proponent for component testing as needed. If one buys all the components that have already been tested and deemed as safe, then why test the finished product too? Maybe I am missing something, but that seems a little ridiculous, especially since to test the item has to be completely taken apart down to the components to be tested. Hmm.
